Product details:
Tamiya Volkswagen Beetle Rally - MF-01X The first generation Volkswagen Beetle (Type 1) went into production in 1949 and quickly became a global icon due to its signature rounded shape and spare interior. From the 1950s through the 1980s, the lightweight Beetle was a mainstay on the worldwide rally circuit, thanks in large part to its rear-mounted flat-4 engine, which provided exceptional durability and required little maintenance. Such rallying Beetles served the inspiration for this radio control model building kit. The Beetle shape is painstakingly replicated by its lightweight polycarbonate body, which features metal-plated components that serve as side mirrors and bumpers. The model gets a rallying vibe via stickers and light pod components. The compact 4WD chassis is built around a sturdy monocoque frame with integrated gearboxes, providing an exciting ride on both road and flat dirt surfaces. It has an engine at the back, wheels that are operated by gears, and a propeller shaft that transfers power to the front. Differential gears are a feature of both the front and rear transmissions. The use of friction dampers in the four-wheel independent double wishbone suspension and the placement of the battery pack in the middle of the chassis ensure perfect balance. Rally block tyres, off-road competent M-05Ra hub carriers, and chassis uprights are also part of the package.Highly accurate static display model.
The MF-01X chassis has an all-wheel drive and non-slip Rally Block tyres.
