This also guarantees a long run time. It also has a battery gauge that shows estimated remaining battery charge using 3 LEDs. Press the button, and it shows the remaining charge for several seconds. I consider this a helpful indicator while using the trimmer- I get a little obsessive about how much juice a battery has left in it.I charged the battery fully before using the trimmer (took a little over an hour), and verified all three LEDs lit up on the battery. I took this trimmer to the juniper shrub alongside my driveway. I spent at most probably 40 minutes trimming. When the trimmer hit a really thick branch, it would stop the motor (I'm guessing for safety). No big deal- back off the trigger and pull the trigger again and I'm off and running. I was impressed overall with the cut and ease of use.This trimmer is much quieter than its gas-powered counterpart, and my hands were also NOT shaking afterwards, as they have every time I use the gas trimmer. I checked the battery level when I was done, and to my amazement, all 3 LEDs still lit up. I mowed through the junipers and still had plenty of power left. I give this thing an A++.
