Water resistant 420-denier nylon fabrics and a 600D polyester base give the pack a bombproof construction, while the Interact suspension system helps to keep the pack comfortable, even when weighed down with heavy alpine gear. Haglofs gave the Roc Summit a convenient 1-Motion opening system, which allows the pack to be opened and closed with gloves on, and it added a large front pocket for a shovel and probe. Increasing the overall versatility of the pack is the addition of a removable top lid, waist belt, and front elastic cord for more technical alpine routes.
